- Viewing the List of Nodes
- While viewing the list press ESC to change the timer values or
- exit the program and stop this test.
- The list can easily be looked at with the arrow keys and page keys.
- The characters under Network are the Network ID if available.
- The characters under Node are the Physical Node ID if available.
- The characters under Unique User Information are the characters
- that were entered at the time the program was started.
- The Date and Time indicate the last time a packet was received
- or transmitted by this machine.
- The asterisk on the right indicates which line is the local
- information from the machine at which you are looking.
- Highlighted lines indicate nodes from which this machine has not
- received a packet within the dead timout period.
- Press ESC to exit Help and return to the list screen.

- Options
- The following timer values are selectable by the user.
- Broadcast Delay Period:
- This value is the number of seconds between broadcasts from
- this station. The default is 15 seconds.
- Dead Timeout Period:
- When this station receives a transmission it adds the
- information about the transmitting station to its display list,
- including the time that the transmission was received. If
- another transmission is not received from that station within
- the dead timeout period the information about the transmitting
- station is highlighted to indicate that it is probably "dead".
- The default is 60 seconds.

- COMCHECK Command Line Arguments
- All functions of ComCheck are available from
- the command line like this:
- >COMCHECK /Bx /Dx nnn...
- /Bx Broadcast delay time in seconds.
- /Dx Dead timer value in seconds.
- x Up to four decimal digits.
- nnn... Unique user information.
- The options can be given in any order, with or
- without spaces between them.

- Unique User Information
- This information is included in the broadcast
- that is made from this station at regular
- intervals. It must be something that uniquely
- identifies this station such as location,
- phone number, etc. This allows duplicate node
- addresses to be detected.
